The Reign, who chose her name because of its sovereign nature of royalty and commanding presence, saying "I'm here," is a Woman with impeccable lyricism and slick word play. Her style of music is inspired by the bold lyricism of Women such as Lil Kim and the storytelling abilities of figures like Jay Z and DMX. As an artist, The Reign has developed her own style that delivers powerful punchlines in a raw and edgy way.
The Music.
The Reign debuted her first single "Middle Fingers" in 2014. The raw and edgy single established her as an artist who was bold with her word play and passionate about her craft. Since then she has continued to make music and has been featured on tracks such as "Blacker than Black", by artist Da Vinci. She came even stronger with the follow up releases, "She Dat", "The Anthem" and "Twerk Sumn", in which she confidently boasts about her womanhood, power, and command for respect; reconfirming her unfiltered yet sophisticated persona. Her latest singe " HROWA"

For The Reign the goal of making music is breaking the expectations of what womanhood is. "As women we are expected to be one way or another," she said, "We should always carry ourselves with a level of grace and class but at the same time, you define yourself.
The Brand.
Out of her music, The Reign has created a brand through her company TRC that features a symbol of a modern queen as its logo. She stands as a strong believer in women's empowerment. She believes self love, self awareness, and self care is vital to maintain your Queendom, and its important to her to display that through her company. TRC consists of hats, sweatsuits and t shirts, that display her powerful logo. Since 2008, The Reign uses her merch to spread the message and mantra, "Head Up Queens" which embodies what she and her brand stand for.
